Renault R35 - 1/35 - early production
Mar 6 Juil - 3:39
Here is my first posting on this forum - the Tamiya R35, back dated to an early production model. I used 3D printed diascopes and a corrected rear engine deck grill from ETS35, of Shapeways, as well as many scratched details.
I like to build models that are a little "different" from what others build, so I selected this unusual camouflage of No 50254 with the contrasting turret and hull, and pale "eau de Nil" liners.
If other forum members are interested, I will post more photos.

Patrick, the camouflage is a base of Tamiya’s Dark Green JGSDF, with Tamiya Dark Yellow 2, and brushed Vallejo Model Color Beige Brown. This was followed by a satin clear coat. I brushed the"liners" with Humbrol enamels. I painted 1 - 2 cm, then corrected and refined the edges of the line with a fine brush dampened with thinner. Then another 1 - 2 cm, etc. It takes many hours spread over several days . . . and much whiskey and rum.
